Important Announcement regarding passing scores for Minnesota Teacher Licensure Examinations (MTLE)

At the Minnesota Professional Educator Licensing and Standards Board meeting on November 17, 2023, the Board established new passing standards for all MTLE assessments.

For candidates testing on or after February 5, 2024, official score reports will reflect the new performance standards. Unofficial score reports received immediately after testing will not reflect the Minnesota Professional Educator Licensing and Standards Board decision. As such, "Not Passed" designations may not reflect a candidate's actual results.

All candidates who took a MTLE test before January 9, 2023, and received a "Not Passed" designation on their official score report should contact the Minnesota Professional Educator Licensing and Standards Board to determine if they now have a passing score.

Note that candidates are not eligible for a refund of any test or registration fees associated with taking an MTLE test after they have tested.
